Located in the heart of Big Sky's Mountain Village, this historic hotel was part of the late NBC News broadcaster Chet Huntley's original vision for Big Sky Resort. The Huntley Lodge sits on the plaza at the base of the mountain, with the Explorer Lift just out the back door. With 4 bedrooms and a bonus room downstairs, this home is ideal for large groups. Two master bedrooms each have king beds and private baths. There is a bedroom upstairs with a queen bed and private bath, and a downstairs bedroom with two twin beds. Additional bedding is available on the queen sleeper sofa in the loft, as well as two bunk twin beds in the bonus room. For indoors fun, make use of the game room downstairs, which is equipped with a pool table, a wet bar, and a TV/DVD entertainment system. The group will also love spending time on the decks outside, which provide incredible views of Yellow Mountain and a luxurious hot tub. Styled in mountain-modern decor, this custom home features top-of-the-line appliances, granite countertops, a Sonos sound system, Apple TV on all TVs and a game room. Natural light streams through floor-to-ceiling windows, creating an inviting atmosphere on the main level, which features a seamless flow between the living, dining and kitchen areas. Comfy sofas and a wood-burning fireplace in the living room invite guests to relax after a day on the mountain, while a cozy breakfast bar allows for catching up over hot cocoa or a glass of wine in the gourmet kitchen. The master suite enjoys privacy as the only bedroom on the main level. This room features a king-sized bed, en-suite bath, and views of Lone Peak. Four other bedrooms are located on the lower level. Hop on the Beehive Basin Trailhead, a 3-minute drive, or explore lift-served hiking and biking at the Big Sky base area, accessible in less than 5 minutes. Restaurants, nightlife, shopping and entertainment in downtown Big Sky are 10 minutes away. A 2-car garage allows you to easily explore the area. Located on the north end of the Mountain Village, you can access skiing via secluded trails and bridges. In fact, on your first day of skiing, you can access the White Otter Lift and ski over to the base area to pick up your lift tickets. Just make sure you get exact directions on the best ski route back to your cabin, or you might end up too far down the mountain! Private vehicles are required for this location.
