    Getting to Crested Butte

    You don’t literally have to take the road less traveled to get to Crested Butte! This off-the-beaten path destination is actually very easy to get to. Even if you’re flying to Denver, the route avoids the busy I-70 corridor and has a similar drive-time to Aspen Snowmass. Here are a few options:

    • Gunnison-Crested Butte Regional Airport (GUC) | Serviced by United Airlines, Alaska Airlines and American Airlines with non-stops from Denver, Chicago, Los Angeles, Dallas and Houston | Drive time to Crested Butte: 40 minutes
    • Montrose Regional Airport (MTJ) | Serviced by United Airlines, American Airlines and Allegiant Air with non-stops from Denver, Houston, Newark, Dallas, Chicago and Los Angeles | Drive time to Crested Butte: 2 hours
    • Denver International Airport (DEN) | Serviced by all major airlines with non-stops from major hubs | Drive time to Crested Butte: 4.5 hours via US-285 S

    Crested Butte Directions

    From the Gunnison-Crested Butte Regional Airport, head north on 11th Street toward West Rio Grande Avenue, turn right onto Tomichi Avenue. Then turn left onto CO-135 North/North Main Street. Continue on CO-135 North for about 27 miles. The road will turn into 6th Street, continue driving. It will soon after turn into CO Road 317/Gothic Road, continue driving. After about two miles, turn right onto Snowmass Road. Crested Butte Mountain Resort will be on your left.
