The pedestrian village and easy lift access makes it one of the best all-in-one destinations in the Alps. Escape the hubbub of the village on the vast slopes of Arlberg ski region, which includes bus-accessed Zurs and Lech ski resorts, and discover the infinite terrain that makes this area one of Europe’s premier destinations.

And while gung-ho skiers will love what the St. Anton skiing offers, those looking to explore what this scenic Alpine ski town has to offer will be pleased with what they find. This historic mountain town combines the charm of Austrian hospitality with lively après-ski activities and some of the most beautiful ski runs in the Alps. The après-ski scene is quite diverse, including sunny outdoor cafes, late night discos and traditional Tyrolean entertainment.

Ski St. Anton

The St. Anton skiing offers visitors scenic views over 9,000 feet, a vertical drop of 5,000 feet and runs up to five miles long.  Beginners and intermediates will enjoy the open snow fields accessed by the Rendlbahn gondola as well as the meandering trails among the Kapall and Galzig complexes. The Galzig-Valluga cable cars carry skiers to the more challenging runs from the Vallugagrat to the village of St. Christoph, a sister ski area that is included on the St. Anton ski pass, along with Zürs, Lech and Stuben.
To access Lech and Zurs ski resorts, you’ll travel along a breathtaking route of narrow roads and tunnels that puncture sky high Alpine peaks. The skiing at these iconic Austrian resorts is exceptional, and the views make the experience that much better.  A visit to Lech and Zurs is also a must because this region is considered the birthplace of skiing.

There are few places better for first time skiers and beginners. St. Anton's two ski schools are famed as the largest ski schools in the world, boasting 300 instructors who are well-practiced in the famous Arlberg technique.

St. Anton, Lech and Zurs is the best!

Skiing St. Anton am Arlberg is where skiing was born. It usually gets more snow than other areas of the Alps. The town of St. Anton has all the convinences...shops, resturants, grocies and near by gondolas and lifts. When you want to do some exploring, skiing over to lech and Zurs is do-able, bus buses are always standing by to take you over to lots of great skiing.

There's a lot of night life, but skiing was our main conncern and jumping into a cozy bed was the best. We will most certainly be back.
